Mr. Holger Losch, an ITF Wheelchair Tennis Consultant arrived in the country for 2023 ITF Development Visit. The visit forms part of ITF/GTF collaborative efforts to develop and strengthen wheelchair tennis in Ghana. Receiving him, Ghana Tennis Federation’s Wheelchair Tennis Coordinator Mr. Henry Larbi was thankful for his safe arrival and expressed optimism that programs lined up will be great.
The 2023 ITF Development Visit under the theme “To develop a strategic development plan 2024-2028 for the development of wheel chair tennis in Ghana” encompasses junior wheelchair tennis clinics at Mephibosheth Training Centre, Apam Junction and Frank Ofori Tennis Centre, Accra Sports Stadium. There will also be a wheelchair tennis stakeholders meeting and crowned with development of strategic plan for wheelchair tennis in Ghana.
Mr. Losch pioneered wheelchair tennis in South Africa and served as Wheelchair Tennis Manager for Tennis South Africa, he also identified, developed and promoted the current South Africa’s Wheelchair Tennis Players.
